"My First and My Last"

Speak the truth, no more lies
Deceitful hearts cloud our minds
She's my First and my Last,
A natural gift with a golden clasp.
Force her to see, what's right in front of me.
I've lived to long and suffer, but the pain is killing me!
Slowly but surely, help her understand why I'm still hurting.
I'm not sure how it's supposed to feel,
Speechless with nothing more to say.
I'm sorry but I feel betrayed,
And it's digging my own grave.
I had trust in you, to help us see it through.
Is it wrong for me to be so mad?
Some things are just a fad.
Out of all this hurt I still see good,
Two reasons I knew I would.
When things seem so bleak,
It's hard to stay faithful,
But he sat there more willing and able.
We all want to see,
But are blinded by what we should believe.
They told me I would be a fool,
To take back such a tool.
Mistakes were made,
But TRUE I stayed!
I can't blame you, she doesn't know.
It's not your fault,
But of my own.
I stick steadfast by your side,
Regardless of what they throw in your eyes.
If One can forgive, then so can I.
My arms are open,
Seek and you shall find!
She's my First and she's my Last,
A natural gift with a golden clasp.
