I realize chasing after you only fulfills my own needs.
I'ts not that I don't want us to be,
But self-gratification, I wish not to see.

Sacrifices are a way of life.
Understanding is how we survive.
Options are endless,
But it has to be right.
Pain and suffering is what makes us fight.

Getting lost in it all,
Deceit of one's own mind.
I love and want you but not for myself.
I could fight or wage war,
But this is not folklore.

Lord if this is a test,
Lay my heart to rest.
Forgive me,
I just want for my kids, what's best.

The paths in my life have been many.
With them around, everything was plenty.
But the foundation was weak,
And ultimately it crumbled beneath.

Lord lift my spirit,
Guide the way.
I accept myself in every way.
I am who I am,
What else can I say?

I'll do my best to stay true.
Lead not astray and remember my Roots.
The Tree of Life,
May it come my way.

Not for the Wrong Reasons,
As I know it's not fate.
Misguided conceptions aren't always what they seem.
Life is good, Life is great,
But I seek you before it's too late.

Help me Lord, Am I awake?

*If you do it for the Wrong Reasons it will fade away as does the seasons!*
